Bachelor of Dental Technology
About the Program
At Bayelsa Medical University, our Bachelor of Dental Technology (B.Tech) program bridges the gap between dental science and advanced manufacturing, training students to become experts in designing and fabricating precision dental prostheses. Over four academic years (three for Direct Entry), you will master the art and science of creating crowns, dentures, orthodontic appliances, and maxillofacial prosthetics using cutting-edge digital technologies. The program emphasizes hands-on technical training in our CAD/CAM labs, 3D printing facilities, and biomaterials testing units, ensuring you develop proficiency in both traditional techniques and modern digital dentistry.
You will acquire professional competencies in prosthetic design, material science, and quality assurance protocols while cultivating essential skills in critical analysis and ethical practice. Specialized modules allow you to tailor expertise in areas like implantology, orthodontic technology, or maxillofacial rehabilitation. Graduates emerge ready to transform clinical prescriptions into functional, aesthetically precise dental devices that restore patient health and confidence.
Program Objectives
