This is to inform prospective candidates, parents, guardians and sponsors that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the establishment and commencement of full-time mode of study in the under-listed six (6) undergraduate academic programmes for the Bayelsa Medical University, Yenagoa with effect from the 2023/2024 Academic Year following a resource verification exercise that was conducted in April 2023:

- Pharmacy (Pharm. D) 6-Year Duration
- Radiography and Radiation Science (B.Sc)- 4-Year Duration
- Health Information Management (B.Sc) - 4-Year Duration
- Dental Technology (B. Tech) - 4-Year Duration
The Bayelsa Medical University has also been offering full-time mode of study in the underlisted academic programmes since 2019.

- Nursing Science (B.NSC) - 5-Year Duration

- Community Health Science (CHSC) - 4-Year Duration
- Human Anatomy (B.Sc) - 4-Year Duration
- Human Physiology (B.Sc) - 4-Year Duration

Prospective candidates interested in seeking admission into any of the above listed 24 academic programmes in the 2023/2024 Academic Year and who sat for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and obtained a score not less than 140 are eligible to apply. In addition, prospective candidates should also possess at least five (5) credits including English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at O'level Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.
Candidates may wish to visit the Bayelsa Medical University website at www.bmu.edu.ng and the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) on the JAMB website https://my.bmu.edu.ng/application/login for admission application process. Prospective candidates interested in applying for admission into any of the programmes are also required to pay for a screening application fee of N2000 (Two thousand naira) only using ATM debit card on interswitch.
